The 12th House Mystery

You know that saying that the best art or the best literature are made during house arrest? Why house arrest? Because only through listening intently to our thoughts that we can be truly honest with ourselves and only through honest with ourselves that we can truly create an art. An art that is  beneficial not only to ourselves but to the world as well. I call this house as a Tsunami house. The 12^th house is like the ocean, the dustbin of everything on this earth. Who knows what lurks on the oceanic floor. It is just there, sitting on the horizon innocently, waiting, just waiting quietly, making us appreciate the sunset and dawn, touching our foot when we step on to sea shore.

But when the ocean is awaken and when the earth moves it, that passive body of water can be the most destructive thing anyone can see. A tsunami can destroy the whole fucking island and kill every inhabitant in it. It is even worse than a volcanic eruption. When a tsunami hits there’s only one thing it does, destroys. It leaves all carcasses and debris and waste, our waste once it leaves. The water is the strongest of all elements. It is not the earth. It is not air or fire. It is water because it has the power to destroy and leave none alive.

When the 12^th house starts acting, or when a writer suddenly found himself in a house arrest and he doesn’t have a choice but to sit still, he can write or create literary pieces that can blow our minds away. When the collective subconscious is awaken, there is no way anyone would be spared. It doesn’t care whether you are a priest or a king. It doesn’t care if you are a child even. All your waste, your thoughts will all come back to you. For me, a 12^th house person is the most dangerous person of all or anyone with Neptune significantly connected in his chart. A Neptunian can read your thoughts even without you talking about it. That person knows who you are or the parts of yourself you don’t even know exists. The Neptunian simple knows because it knows the things you’re not telling. It is there in him, somewhere along his existence. Who knows, the next novel you might be reading on his behalf is all about you.

The 12^th house is the house of loss. And I believe that the only way to get there is to lose something. It is the only way. I also believe that the answers you are seeking in the 1^st house, mostly about your personality and everything that’s about you on the surface are or can be found in the 12^th house. Some people  actually uses drugs or mind altering substance in order to get in touch with their 12^th house because not only this is the house of loss, this is also the house of escape, escape from the reality that’s tormenting you. Here, time is meaningless and responsibilities of daily harsh life become blurry and insignificant. Even achievements or worldly honors are insignificant in the 12^th house because you become one with the world.

Although, this is the house of loss, this is also the house of immense potential. I believe that a person can truly transform his entire life once he mastered the 12^th house. I mean, the 12^th proceeds the 1^st house where we relate to the world. So it goes without saying that whatever it is on the 12^th would eventually affect the 1^st. If you were able to gain mastery over your thoughts and whatever it is on your 12^th house, your life will change.

And it is also the reason why using drugs or any form of mind altering substances should be avoided. You know why? Because when you reach the 12^th house, the most important thing you have to learn is to trust your thoughts. But drugs can actually strip away your ability to be confident with your own thoughts. Drugs can simply fuck up your mind and your ability to be confident with your own thought, lest with your own potential. Here in the 12^th house, we experience a lot of loss, of time, or life moving forward without us. There will be times when depression and loneliness will creeps up but for someone who has Chiron on the 1^st, such isolation is the greatest gift he could possibly have in this lifetime.

Some say there is a hope for the 12^th house person. But I believe that the person who has gone through the 12^th house journey becomes the hope that he badly needs to find. He becomes the world’s savior.
