9th House: You’re truth is not Mine

The issues of loss and sacrifice in the 12^th house that we are all trying to avoid can all be settled through the 9^th house. 12^th house is who you really are, more than you ever realized because it is your subconscious. You know that saying, know who you are?” Well, it is not enough to know what favorite color you want or who is your mama or papa. Those were not enough to know the real you. Only the 12^th house can do that for you. But the 12^th house is the house that isn’t easy to grasp and that is when the 9^th house comes in.

The 9^th house is the house where you process the ‘how you get here’ and find meaning to everything that’s been bothering you. ‘why did you lose yourself?, what for?’ these are the questions of the 9^th house- your truth, your meaning and everything which may have fallen under it. Our principles give us the ability to stand upright in the face of chaos, opposition allowing us not to get lost.

But here’s the truth about the 9^th house. Your truth is not necessarily my own truth. That’s why this house is where the foreigners, foreign land, religion fall; because in this house, we become a foreigner to others. We come from different places in ourselves that we may have belief systems than that of Gandhi or Dalai Lama or Jesus. One’s faith doesn’t necessary have to be you faith but that’s alright. That’s fine, coz ‘we are different.’ This is the theme of 9^th house. Different, we are different. Our individuality have already been tested and perfected in 8^th house, so in the 9^th house, we welcome our differences with others. We know who we are, we’ve seen it, and we’ve understood it.

Why publishing falls under the 9^th house? Because in the 9^th house, we express our opinions, our take on certain issues etc etc. And we all know opinions are just opinions and although we may not agree with other’s opinion, we know we are entitled to it as an individual because we know we are different, we come from different places.

Individually, this house is where we can ask ourselves, ‘where are you coming from when you did this such and such.’ This is where we reason out, negotiate our actions and hopefully find meaning to all our actions and makes those meaning may become our own truth or foundation so we can stand up straight in the face of the collective.

The natural ruler of 9^th house is Sagittarius because naturally a sag ‘sees’ and voice out what he sees. He doesn’t care what you and I see. He is just telling you what he does, period. So I ask the Sagittarius after hearing all his laments, “so what now?”
